Evens and I try very hard not to leave pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, and markers lying around. If Sophie finds one, we are all in trouble. Here's why:
| What? I didn't do anything? |
| Oh... hmm... how can I get out of this? |
My favorite part is the snot running out of her nose and mixing in with the marker.
The funniest thing about this whole situation is that I was washing dishes and thinking to myself, "hmm, I haven't heard from Sophie in a while. Normally she's in here trying to help me out. But it has now been 15 minutes and I haven't heard a peep from her." Which, as any parent knows, a quiet child is a child who is doing something naughty! I went to look for her and found her in Kara's room, playing contentedly with that cursed black "washable" marker. After she colored most of her body she went on to Kara's sleeping bag, blankets, and books. The second she saw me she smiled and said "'s ok mom! 's ok." I just couldn't help but laugh. Even while I was cleaning off books, and Sophie, and Sophie's clothes, and Kara's blankets, and some random toys that happened to be unfortunate enough to be in Sophie's line of vision... oh well. At least she didn't make it to the walls or door like that last time.
