August

In August Kara was getting really anxious and excited for school to start.  She started Kindergarten this fall and every day in August she would ask me if this was the day she would finally start school.  She came with me to my hairstylist's salon one day and decided she wanted a new hairstyle for school so she hopped up in the chair and told my stylist exactly what she wanted!

I kept asking her, "are you sure you want it that short?  are you sure you want bangs?  are you sure that's what you want?"  and she would roll her eyes and sigh and say, "yes mom, this is what I want".  So I just let her do it!  It turned out pretty cute. 

Evens and I turned 30 this year.  Here is is German Chocolate cake:

 All he wanted for his birthday was to clean out the garage, but we decided he needed to get out and get some sun so the girls and I took him to a splash pad where we played very happily for hours. 

In August we also celebrated the LONG-ANTICIPATED wedding of Gabriel (Evens' brother) and Clarissa! It was a beautiful wedding and we had a lot of fun sharing their wonderful day with them. 

Evens had a lot of fun destroying their getaway car.
